The Tears of a Clown

Timothy Birdnow

Cue the tiniest violin:

From the New York Pest:

WASHINGTON – Former FBI official Nikki Floris broke down in tears outside a federal courtroom Tuesday during a preliminary hearing on charges that she and another ex-bureau official lied to Congress about burying the Hunter Biden laptop story.

Floris was seen weeping in a courthouse hallway during a break in the probable cause hearing in the district court for Washington, DC.

She and fellow former FBI official, Bradley Benavides, self-surrendered last week and face up to five years in prison if convicted of lying to the House Judiciary Committee in 2023 about their involvement in discrediting stories about the troubled first son.

When a plot against the king or emperor fails the plotters usually get to enjoy the loss of their heads. All this broad is facing is five years in the slammer and she's crying about it. Look at what happened to Brutus.

She knew what she was doing was wrong, but she chose to do it because she thought the Democrats would be the winning side. She thought wrong and she has to pay for her crime, and it WAS a crime, no matter her motives.

So cry me a river, but it isn't and shouldn't matter. This chick deserves to be in prison. She attempted to subvert the elections - the bedrock of the American political system - and she made war on the truth. That cannot go unpunished.

Rest assured; if it had worked she would still be working for the government and she would be all smiles now. She is only unhappy because she got caught and is facing the penalty.

Unnfortunatly this is a D.C. judge and the two FBI agents are claiming they don't remember the multiple e-mails they shared discussing the case. Their attorney also characterized this as a witch hunt because Kash Patel ordered an agent to look for crimes - something unusual, since the FBI has been protecting it's own for decades now.

So there is a real chance this pair will walk away free. But let us hope the judge throws the book at them. They lied to Congress. They lied to America. They were busy with the media concocting lies about the Hunter Biden laptop when they clearly knew better. A fair jury trial would convict them.

So ball all you want little girl; you still belong in prison.

Dems Demand Truce over Omar

Timothy Birdnow

But the investigation started under Joe Biden.

Did the Democrats show any such compassion to Republicans over the years? Ted Stevens up in Alaska? Long Island rep. George Santos? Paul Gosar of Arizona? Chuck Edwards of North Carolina? How about Ken Paxton, who they tried to remove from office? Todd Akin, who was not charged with any crime but was Borked by the Democrats anyway. How about Bork? Kavanaugh? How about the President himself, who they investigated endlessly and impeached twice. But now they think Trump should call off the DOJ because they fear losing an election if it continues now.

NOW they want a truce!

From the article:

Nearly 200 House Democrats are moving to shield Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., from further investigation after federal investigators raided her Washington, D.C., home earlier this month.

Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., led 175 members of the House Democratic Caucus in a letter to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Markwayne Mullin and Attorney General Todd Blanche, criticizing the probe into Omar's immigration history as a partisan attack and accusing them of trying to sway her bid for another term in Congress.

"Congresswoman Omar is seeking reelection in Minnesota’s 5th congressional district in just one week. News of the search warrant, whether properly predicated or not, could affect voters’ decisions, which is exactly why federal law enforcement should not engage in such conduct when voters are casting their ballots. This type of interference strips Minnesotans of their right to a free and fair election guaranteed to them under the Constitution," the letter said.

"We stand with Congresswoman Omar and condemn the weaponization of law enforcement against her. You have already disgraced the offices you hold, and we demand you refrain from taking any further actions that could affect the outcome of the upcoming election."

IF the GOP weaponized the law against Omar (and again, this probe started under Biden) then it means she is innocent, something that appears increasingly unlikely. Also, if this be weaponization of the law, turnabout is fair play since they have done that repeatedly over the years to our side. If you don't want something don't start something.

Of course this is not about weaponization; it's about political power and how they plan to use this to gin up support and money, now and in the future. They are telegraphing how they are going to spin this, as a corrupt would-be tyrant using the law to take out political enemies (as if Omar has EVER sponsored any real legislation). All she is is a reliable yea or nae vote for the Democrats.

The Democrats are hoping to split off the weakling RINO Republicans. This has worked in days gone by; the "principled" RINO's will want to protect "comity" in government and will surrender to the Dems as they always have. "Be the bigger man". They are like Ashley Wilkes in Gone with the Wind, pompous asses who pride themselves on being superior to the point where they refuse to get their hands dirty but sneer at those who do. These have long been the useful idiots of the Democrats, who disobey the rules they quote to these clowns at will but the RINO wing never stops listening to them. Like Charlie Brown and the football. They always believe "this time".

Here is how the Dems justify their claim:

Her fellow House Democrats recounted the allegations in their letter, saying, "Your probe into the congresswoman reportedly concerns her late father’s filing of immigration paperwork after she fled Somalia’s civil war at age eight, making her a U.S. citizen at age seventeen."

But they argued it does not justify "a pre-dawn raid on her home for paperwork her father filed when she was a minor."

But it has nothing to do with her father's paperwork error (he conveniently forgot to mention he was a warlord's hatchet man) but with her own actions. She was old enough at the time not to get citizenship through her father and she purposely had her staff alter documents to make her appear younger to hide this fact. That is a felony.

Jaypal knows it too; don't kid yourself.

It also ties in with the fact she married her own brother to bring him here illegally as well. Jaypal knows that too.

So she is lying through her teeth with all of this. The authorities did not make a pre-dawn raid (like they did to Roger Stone) nor did they bust down the door. This was nowhere near as bad as what they did to President Trump, tearing up his home and sniffing Melania's panties (well, you can't blame the agents for NOT sniffing Omar's). And if Ilhan wants to end this, if she is innocent, she would have provided her DNA willingly along with turning over her phone and computer. The DOJ had to seize it.

And we do not know what else the DOJ is investigating about her. She has deep ties to the Somali community, the one that was cashing in big time on stolen government money. Was she at the forefront of that?

This is not weaponization, it is not something started by Trump, and if it were weaponization Ilhan could have ended it by being forthcoming. It was SHE who dragged this into the political season (which, granted, is hard to avoid as it's always political season these days.)

As ye sow so shall ye reap. They started it. Now they don't like the results.

Bolsonaro Shoots the Moon

Timothy Birdnow

Flavio Bolsonaro has flown the coop, buggering out of his home country for parts unknown in the United States. He is one immigrant I wholeheartedly welcome.

Can't blame him; his father died under house arrest after spending years in prison on fake, phony charges. The da Silva government hounded a political enemy to his grave - and now wants to hound the rightful winner of the Brazilian election as well.

Trump needs to squash Brazil's economy for this. And perhaps find something to indict da silva over.

Da Silva is a socialst, probably a Communist, and his continued power in Brazil - South America's largest country and has the largest economy on the continent. The stability of Brazil is very important, especially since there had been a rising tide of Communism in the region, a tide reversed with the ending of USAID funding the radicals. Brazil may take up the slack, so we need to force da Silva out. He will never leave voluntarily.

Elon Musk has activated Starlink over Brazil so the public can get real information, but he waited too long. Now da Silva is entrenched and will probably remain that way. There needs to be a color revolution in the only Portuguese speaking country west of Portugal.

Judge Declares Acting U.S. Attorney Looking into Vote Fraud Disqualified

Timothy Birdnow

Channeling his inner de Moraes (the boy from Brazil) a federrale' judge told an acting U.S. attorney handindling illegal alien vote fraud that he was disqualified.

Actually the judge didn't bother to inform First Assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli he was disqualified, it was a journalist named Brittny Mejia, a shill for the L.A. Timess. Mr. Essayli was busy with a hearing over 20,000 illegal aliens on the vorer rolls while the judge apparently held a secret hearing to bar Mr. Essayli from his work.

You might say they legally assailed Essayli.

Brittny Mejia
@brittny_mejia
After ballot hearing today, I informed @USAttyEssayli that a federal judge ruled this afternoon that he is unlawfully serving as a "de facto” United States Attorney.

Disqualifications in two cases delayed for now. Essayli told me the case "will be decided by the Supreme Court”

One has to wonder what standing the anonymous plaintiff had, if there even WAS a plaintiff. Certainly this is over the paygrade of said judge, who is at most a district court judge.

On what basis does a judge disqualify an acting U.S. Attorney? Acting means he does not need approval from Congress until his temporary term is up (usually ninety days) or the President removes him or another attorney is appointed and confirmed by Congress. The Courts have no say in such matters; that is encroaching on another branch of government.

As the Red State article points out, a similar case has already been appealed to SCOTUS after the Administration lost in the 9th Circus (as expected). It has this to say:

What's happening here has nothing to do with Essayli's qualifications as a U.S. Attorney and everything to do with politics. Before being appointed as Interim U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California in April 2025, Essayli was a member of the California Assembly for four years and was well known as a huge thorn in the side of the Democrat supermajority cabal in Sacramento — and for being equally antagonistic to wimpy Republicans in the capital. Essayli also served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Central District from October 2014 through February 2018 and was part of the prosecution team that responded to the terrorist attack in San Bernardino in December 2015. So, he's clearly qualified for the position.

So he was disqualified solely because he rocked the boat.

Actually the unnamed judge stayed the ruling until SCOTUS made a permanent decision.

But this should never have made it to court and the judge should have issued summary judgment to dismiss the case.

At any rate the judiciary is out of control, and so is the corporate media. Both need to be reined in.

There appears to be an international brotherhood of judges ready to usurp power any time they please. This has got to stop.

Darth de Moraes Pulls Bolsonaro's passport

Timothy Birdnow

Here is a very disturbing article about the Great Steal in Brazil and how the winning candidate who lost the election for President is now being hunted.

The hunter is a judge named Alexandre de Moraes, a supreme court "justice" who yanked Bolsonaro's passport so he could not flee to the United States while the Administration of "Lula" Da Silva finds a crime to hang on him so they can imprison him as his father before him.

I am mindful of the scene in The Return of the Jedi where Luke Skywalkers says "I am a Jedi, like my father before me". Looks like Bolsonaro is a political prisoner like his father before him. I thought of this when I saw a photo of de Moraes courtesy of Juanita Broderick (herself no stranger to abuse by tyrannical government). The man looks like Darth Vader without his helmet on.

He certainly ACTS like Darth Vader. "we shall end this destructive conflict and bring ORDER to Brazil" would fit coming from his mouth.

Marco Rubio appears to have offered Bolsonaro asylum for both he and his family, which is why Darth Moraes has seized his passport; de Moraes wants to imprison Bolsonaro so nobody ever dare try this again. It's what is waiting for Donald Trump when he is out of office, I might add; maybe the Democrats can bring this guy in as a consultant.

The Dark Lord had already been universally condemned for some of the tyrannical things he had done in bygone days - even by the International Order. He's a corrupt, evil man. Look at his eyes; they appear demonic.

So Brazil has now fallen and it won't be rising soon. de Silva is going to cement power, and nonody will dare challenge him again.

Unless...

Elon Musk (God bless him!) has activated Starlink over Brazil so the people can get the truth. The ruling junta had shut down the news media and internet outlets but now the public can get the truth via starlink.

The Star Wars saga ended with the destruction of the Empire when Vader killed his master, the Emperor Palpatine. I rather doubt de Moraes will kill da Silva.
""
(BTW doesn't de Moraes sound like "de money" from History of the World "count de money, count de money".

Why Climate Alarmism is Wrong

This comes from Anthony Watts courtesy of American Thinker:

For decades, Americans have been bombarded with frightening predictions about global warming, now more commonly called "climate change.” We have been warned of disappearing islands, starving polar bears, unprecedented hurricanes, collapsing food supplies, and a planet supposedly approaching catastrophe.

Scientists have issued warnings, politicians have repeated them, and the news media have amplified them. Rarely does a major weather event occur today without someone suggesting that climate change has made it worse.

But after decades of predictions, we have something more valuable than alarming computer projections: actual observations. Newsflash: those observations provide considerable reason for optimism about our future.

Consider the evidence assembled in Climate at a Glance, a collection of more than 50 climate topics drawing on data from organizations including NOAA, NASA, the EPA, and the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

The picture painted from actual data is considerably more encouraging than the nightly news would have you believe.

Extreme weather: The missing catastrophe.

The extraordinary decline in weather-related deaths is a lesson that flies in the face of worst-case predictions.

We are repeatedly told that hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, and droughts are becoming unprecedented disasters.

Yet global hurricane records do not show a clear long-term increase in the total number of tropical cyclones. NOAA records also show that the most violent U.S. tornadoes have not exhibited the relentless upward trend suggested by sensational headlines.

The IPCC acknowledges substantial uncertainty about long-term trends in several categories of extreme weather, including tornadoes and flooding.

There are important exceptions. Heavy precipitation has increased in many regions, and heat extremes have become more frequent globally. But the evidence does not justify treating every destructive storm as proof of an accelerating planetary emergency

Weather has always been dangerous. What has changed dramatically is our ability to survive it. Perhaps the most reassuring climate statistic receives remarkably little attention.

global warmingDeaths from weather-related disasters have fallen by more than 99 percent over the past century, according to historical disaster data discussed in Climate at a Glance.

Better forecasting, stronger buildings, modern transportation, improved sanitation, and emergency communications have transformed humanity's ability to withstand nature.

Even as populations have grown and development has expanded, the risk of dying in a weather disaster has declined enormously. This demonstrates something essential: Human adaptation works.

Another surprise: A greener planet and more abundant food.

Remember the warnings that global warming would devastate agriculture and produce widespread food shortages? The actual record is considerably more encouraging.

Global crop yields have increased dramatically over recent decades. Rice, wheat, and corn production have repeatedly reached record levels. Modern agricultural technology deserves much of the credit, but rising atmospheric carbon dioxide also contributes to plant growth.

NASA satellite observations have documented substantial global greening, with increased carbon dioxide identified as an important contributor. Plants use carbon dioxide in photosynthesis. That elementary biological fact sometimes seems to disappear from discussions portraying CO2 exclusively as a pollutant.

Of course, agriculture still faces drought, flooding, pests, and heat stress. Yet the evidence of improving productivity deserves at least as much attention as speculative forecasts of agricultural collapse.

What happened to the disappearing islands and polar bears?

For years, the public heard predictions that low-lying Pacific islands would disappear beneath rising seas. Yet research has found that many coral atolls have remained stable or increased in land area as sediments shift and accumulate.

That does not eliminate the challenges of rising sea levels, especially saltwater intrusion and flooding. What it does demonstrate is that island geography is more complicated than the familiar image of entire nations simply slipping underwater.

Polar bears provide another instructive example. Despite decades of alarming imagery, the widely predicted population collapse has not occurred.

Here’s the biggest surprise: the worst-case climate models have been withdrawn.

Computer models can be useful scientific tools, but their results depend heavily on assumptions about emissions, climate sensitivity, and future economic development. One particularly troubling example is RCP 8.5, a very-high-emissions scenario frequently used to illustrate effects of extreme future warming. Its plausibility as a realistic future has been strongly challenged, and it has subsequently been withdrawn from scientific use.

RCP 8.5 became the climate establishment’s favorite tool because it generated the most frightening headlines, not because it reflected realistic energy or economic trends. For years, policymakers, media outlets, and activists treated this extreme scenario as business as usual, even though it assumed wildly unrealistic coal consumption, stagnant technological progress, and population trajectories detached from observed reality.

Read the rest here

I think Anthony went a little too gentle here; there are other things that make the climatechange hysteria moot that he does not mention. For instance:

1. The Earth's rotation has increased. This is at odds with the climate models which say it should have decreased because meltwater from the poles would bunch around the equator (a basic scientific principle) and this would slow the rotation down. Instead it increased, which suggests more ice at the poles. Imagine a figure skater doing a spin. What does she do? She scrounges herself tight, puts her arms above her head and spins away. Long and narrow spins much better than short and stout. Yet the Earth is acting long and narrow. It's as if polar ice has increased.

2. That's because polar ice has increased. Greenland gained a small amount of ice this year and Antarctica has been gaining ice for decades now, everywhere except the sea ice in West Antarctica (which interestingly has numerous undersea volcanoes) and at the Antarctic Peninsula (I lilked when it was the Palmer Peninsula) which is also highly volcanic.and also juts out enough to pick up some warmth from the subantarctic. But the big East Antarctic ice sheet (EAIS) has been getting fatter and fatter.

3. Cloud cover has been dropping off despite claims the planet is warming and sea water is thus evaporating into the atmosphere. Water makes clouds. Of course you have to have stuff around which clouds can form - aerosols - of which we seem to have a dearth thanks to pollution control, but also this speaks to other aerosols, like those dust from dust storms in places like Africa and also from wild fires, both of which are fewer and farther between now thanks to human efforts to control both. Contrary to popular belief wildfires are NOT worse than before, and in the First World are mostly caused by attempts to restore forests to their "natural state" which means fires. Fire is nature's way of clearing the deadwood.

4. Precipitation has risen slightly worldwide, but only slightly and it should have risen a LOT since warming should be evaporating a lot more water.

5. There is the matter of the "missing heat". The planet has not warmed as much as models predicted it would, and so climatologists have been looking for this "missing heat" which they are convinced is down in the deep oceans. Only they can't find it; they can find SOME missing heat but not all of it and they refuse to believe it isn't there. So they send down Argo probes and are forever looking. They've looked under the couch, in the dresser, etc.

6. They cannot explain the two pauses in temperature rise in the 21st century, both of which do not comport with climate models.

7. They cannot find the tropical tropospheric hot spot. They find some warming but nothing like what they predicted. The models say most of the heat should be bunched up in the tropics, near the "tropopause" the top of the troposphere. It isn't.

8. Drownings have been declining worldwide for decades, even while there is a claim that weather is more extreme. This does not fit. Yes, we are better at stopping it now, but not that much; kids still take risks and you can't fix stupid. But if the weather were getting worse more people would be drowning, they aren't. This comports with Watts' statement about fewer major weather events.

9. The increase in damage from weather events is clearly a coefficient of people building in places they didn't used to build, in flood plains, on seashores with unpredictable tidal events, etc. There is a big resort town just north of St. Louis on the Mississippi River I used to go to a lot. It was an old, old town that was always cool but had little in the way of businesses and the like because it flooded every two years. After the Great Flood of 1993 (and the follow up in '95) the government bailed the community out and an explosion of building ensued. It is now a major resort town, with a huge marina, all sorts of businesses on the main drag, dining, lodging, and condos. But it still floods every two years. The Reubel Hotel sits on the river side of the main drag and gets flooded regularly but they keep rebuilding, no doubt because the government guarantees them. That is what is happening to increase weather-related costs. (BTW since the Great Flood flooding has dropped off; why is that if the climate is getting worse?)

These are just a few items not touched on by Dr. Watts (I feel free to mention them where Watts does not because I am just a blogger and he doesn't want a big fight with other specialists). He also does not touch on the uncertainty of the temperature data - something HE illustrated by doing a survey of the surface data stations and showing how badly corrupted said data truly is and how most of this is estimated and not actual data.

The fact is the models do not comport with what is happening in nature, and when it comes to a dispute between nature and scientific models the models should lose. But there is too much money and power on the line to simply dismiss AGW theory as incorrect, so they keep plugging away at it hoping to fundamentally transform our society into the world socialist utopia. It's just a way of backdooring the dream society of the Elitists and the Left.

Judge Releases Illegal Alien who Beheaded Iwo Jima Statue on just a Couople of Thousand Dollars Bond

Timthy Birdnow

$2500 bond for beheading the Iwo Jima statue? This guy will eat that and flee the country.

Prince William County Circuit Court Chief Judge Petula Metzler ruled Monday the illegal alien vandal could get out on this low bond. No doubt he'll pay a bondsman who he plans on stiffing.

Her bio says she was a cucumber picker from rural North Carolina, then got an English degree at George Mason and went to law school at Catholic University.. She was named to a judgeship in 2016 and then elected to her current post in 2021. I have no doubt she's a loyal Democrat.

ICE has filed a detainer against the vandal and so he'll be arrested and deported, if he doesn't flee first.

No Country for Old Men - After the EMP

Timothy Birdnow

A wise precaution in any case but isn't this interesting it's being prepared for now?

From the Epoch Times article:

Pentagon chief spokesman Sean Parnell confirmed reporting on the issue published by Fox News Digital on Oct. 25.

"FORTRESS is strategic deterrence in action, ensuring our defenses are hardened, proactive, and ready,” Parnell said in an X post sharing the article on Oct. 25.

FORTRESS stands for Federal Operations for Resilience, Troop Resources, Energy, Supply, and Survivability.

Parnell said he created FORTRESS America "because we can no longer rely on two oceans to protect us.”

"That outdated assumption no longer reflects the threats we face,” he said.

"President [Donald] Trump and Secretary [Pete] Hegseth understand this and have already paved the way with Golden Dome and a renewed focus on the Western Hemisphere, including Greenland and Panama.

end

This should have been done years ago and is a testament to the unseriousness of the Biden and Obama Administrations respectively, and probably to the Bush Administration as well. We were sitting ducks for an infrastructure attack.

Years ago I warned on American Thinker about the dangers of an EMP attack on America. This was before Congress came out with their report (and before the novel One Second After, which I suspected I inspired, at least in part) and the U.S. government was still officially denying the EMP Effect existed and could take our the electric grid. Someone wrote in an angry letter (which AT published) denying there was such a thing and calling me a crank and a liberal. He claimed to be a person who was working on the Star Fish Prime tests. Interesting; the very next year Congress admitted everything.

At any rate this report by Congress has triggered a lot of concern and not just from crazy doomsdayers or political pundits but from the military itself, and little was being done to remedy the situation.

Equipment has to be hardened, by which we mean it needs to be sheltered by a Faraday Cage, which would direct the fast moving electrons to ground. When an atomic bomb detonates in the air it strips the atmosphere of charged particles which move in a fast-moving wave (called the Compton Effect). This wave is too fast for 90%conventional surge protection so it blows out all electronics. Also, an EMP comes in three "flavors" or surges with the E1 surge frying electronics but the E3 surge actually triggering current flow in geological formations, so the ground itself burns out our electric grid. Since everything has complex electronics now that would mean the end of our civilization.

Here is a simple article explaining what happens.

The Congressional report argued that within one year of the EMP attack 90% of our population would be dead. That is not a typo. They would die of starvation, of violence, of disease, of thirst and of exposure. It would make Mel Gibson's Road Warrior appear tame.

Other things can cause an EMP than a nuclear device. In 1859 there was a huge coronal mass ejection from the Sun that hit the Earth. Named after it's discoverer (who was watching at the time) it became known as the Carrington Event. It destroyed all the electronics of the day, which mostly consisted of a few telegraph lines. If Carrington were to hit today our whole civilization would die horribly. I believe asteroid strikes could trigger an EMP too.

Also, it's possible to make a much smaller EMP without a nuclear bomb.

That is just an EMP. There are other ways to wreck our defenses by taking out the grid. A nasty computer virus, for example.

We have to be prepared, and the military has to be prepared. Being in the military would be the best place to be if an EMP were to hit; they'd have stockpiled food. It might be MRE's, which taste like shit, as I'm given to understand, but who cares when everyone else is starving! But you will be first into combat with any nasties. And there will be plenty of nasties out there.

The rest of us will have to try to hide and hope for the best. Stockpiled food will last some time, if you are careful, but not that long. Everyone needs to learn how to farm and make sure they have seeds - and greenhouses. And a secure place to go. Ideally have some community which is largely self-sufficient already and capable of protecting itself. Guns are not optional. Neither is medicine and knowledge of what to do with it.

Make sure you have light, and what you need to make light work. Batteries are fine until they run out. Get rechargeable and an inverter so you can recharge them off a car battery. Stock up on oil lamps and kerosene. Be sure to have a fire starter and not just a lighter; ideally an old-fashioned flint and metal one would be ideal. And be prepared to run at any moment.

As for your place ideally in the mountains and with one way in and out - one way that can be blocked easily. Me, I always have my Ozark Hilton, but it really isn't defensible and it is not far from a small highway. That would probably be impassible thanks to the locals so if I got in there I may be o.k. - may be. But it is the best I could do. I bought it because it was close to resorts stuff - canoe rivers, a big Army Corps of Engineers lake, some decent hiking, even by Big Springs, the largest natural spring in the U.S. Lovely country. But my property would hide me but not protect me. But it's the best I can do if the SHTF. Oh, and I'd have to bring all my food down there if it does. Leave it there and it will be plundered by some local thieves. They already stole everything I left there.

And I'd have to be able to GET there; hard to do when all cars no longer work.

Anyway enough survivalism.

The point is it is interesting they are doing this now. But it's wise; with a possible widening of the Russo-Ukrainian war, and with the war with Iran, we had bloody well be ready for such an attack. If Iran could just get one nuclear bomb over Nebraska about five hundred miles up...

Within weeks everyone would be starving. Within months cannibalism would be common. Within a year only a few would be left; preppers who made the right decisions, survivalists who killed and ate people, and the military. Most of us would be gone and that includes me. This would be no country for old men. It wouldn't be a country for most young men either, nor women.

Let's hope and pray it never comes to that.

Violent Crime Dropped under Trump

Timothy Birdnow

This is what happens when you actually enforce the law.

This happened during the Reagan era too and we saw crime drop quite a bit under Reagan, and it remained down un Bush and Clinton but started ticking back up as the border became unsecure and lots of criminals began coming in.

Now though it sucks to be a violent criminal; you will go to jail and if you are a foreigner get deported to some hellhole country with prisons that are more horrible than anything. So crime has dropped precipitously.

I hope the American People remember this on election day. Being secure in your person and belongings is one of the very core jobs of the government.

FTA:

Violent and property crime victimization rates declined across the United States in 2025, with aggravated assaults falling 31% and motor vehicle thefts dropping 30%, according to a new Justice Department report that the Trump administration cited as evidence of the success of its law-and-order agenda.

Preliminary findings from the Bureau of Justice Statistics show that the violent crime victimization rate, excluding simple assault, fell 25%, from 9.9 victimizations per 1,000 Americans age 12 and older in 2024 to 7.4 in 2025.

Aggravated assaults declined from 4.5 to 3.1 per 1,000 people, while the overall property crime victimization rate dropped 19%, from 138 to 111.2 per 1,000 households.

More good news for America. People just need to give Trump time in getting the war to end and unleashing the amazing power of the engine of the American economy. Right now he's dealing with an existential threat. People need to understand that.

I heard a whiny caller on Glenn Beck's radio show this morning sniveling about the economy.

"I just wish Trump would shore more compassion about the economy and high cost of living" he complained.

Trump isn't a warm fuzzy; he's a pragmatic doer. If you want someone to feel your pain you should vote for Hillary Clinton (well, Bill) but what good does THAT do? Trump was and continues to do something about the problem. He's gone after every and any source of oil to get gas prices down, and he's trying to find alternate sources of goods. It's not his fault we had35 years of globalism where the U.S. got taen advantage of; he's trying now to fix that. Naturally the swindlers are not please their favorite chump is now fighting back. But in the end Trump will prevail as long as wimpy dudes like that caller fail to vote because Trump isn't going around crying with them. We didn't hire him to do that; we hired a shark, not Flipper.

America had better wake up.

Schiffless No-Account Dems Claiming Trump, GOP Plotting to Steal Elections

Timothy Birdnow

More proof the GOP may well win on election night.

You can always tell what they are up to - the tell us. In this case they are trying to do what they always do - steal the election - and they are setting up for their when they lose, which tells me they have internal polling showing they are in trouble.

So they say Trump and the GOP are going to steal the elections.

It's always projection with the Demi-Left.

In this case it is Adam Schiff accusing the Administration of trying to subvert election results over a lawsuit filed against the Democrats for trying to trick voters by promoting a life-long Democrats named Dan Sullivan to run against a Republican incumbent named Dan Sullivan so as to split the Alaskan vote and win the Senate seat. The particulars don't really matter; it's just the most convenient thing to snipe at. All that Schiff is doing is bringing up the sense that the GOP is crooked and trying to "steal" the election up there and everywhere else.

This will be followed by violent protests after election day in which they will claim Trump cheated, just as they would have done.

I believe this is a measure of some desperation and that it suggests to me that the Democrats are grasping at straws, setting up for a post-electoral protest and nothing more. I think they may well believe they are going to lose.

A Plot to Overthrow the American Government

Timothy Birdnow

Treason is the reason for the season.

If military brass are involved they should be prosecuted for treason; they cannot discuss overthrowing the elected government and their Commander-in-Chief and the Constitution without it being so.

Those dirtbags swore an oath to the Constitution; they cannot talk about "extra-constitutional" actions.

They now constitute the domestic threat to which they pledged to defend us.

From the Daily Caller article:

A collection of non-governmental organizations staffed by former members of the military, federal government, and intelligence community is reportedly working to undermine the Constitution following the midterm elections.

The alleged network of former military officers, intelligence officials, and ex-USAID personnel is coordinating to advise state governments on scenarios involving military intervention during the 2026 midterm elections, according to investigative researcher Jennica Pounds, better known online as DataRepublican. The groups, which include Renew to Thrive and National Security Leaders For America (NSL4A), have backed anti-Trump protests, discussed when the federal government could be declared illegitimate, and entertained the idea of "extra-constitutional” measures, raising questions about whether they are preparing for a constitutional crisis or actively working to manufacture a color revolution, a series of non-violent, mass public protests, and civil disobedience movements.

This is conspiracy to overthrow the United States government as well as treason and the FBI needs to be shoulder-deep in this. These are clear crimes.

They are plotting a color revolution in the U.S. (something discussed during the first Trump administration.)

If they try to do this it will trigger a bloody and violent civil war. Americans cannot and will not sit idly by and let a group of unelected disgruntled military and civil servant types seize control of our government and dissolve the Constitution.

Trump did not seize power; he was duly elected BY THE PEOPLE and he has been quite careful to obey all laws, including all ridiculous orders from Biden/Obama judges. So these groups have nigh a leg to stand upon. They are just criminals.

And if they do this they will be enemies of We the People. I wouldn't recommend going there.

It's funny; they claim they must cancel the Constitution to save it with their little beerhall Putsch. Who are the Fascists here? Who is violating the basic rules of a Democratic Republic? It's not Donald Trump.

And you know full well all of these people were fired, and mainly for cause, by the Administration; this is pure payback, not principle.

We need to throw these creeps in a hole and throw away the key. I wish Gitmo were still in it's heyday.

Wonder if they've been in contact with the Russians or Chinese or Iran?

A Saint in Climate Change Inc.

Timothy Birdnow

John Arnold, a former Enron exec who made billions selling natural gas and oil, has become one of the principal financiers of the Gang Green, and his labyrinth of money laundering to radical environmental groups aka the Gang Green, has the global warming kooks flush with cash.

This article was originally from The Blaze and behind a paywall, but the good folks at Conservative Angle kindly reproduced it for us.

I suspected there was some new billionaire money; the climate alarmists have been very active on the Facebook groups to which I belong. Lots of scientists. I've been in a long one with an astrophysicist from NASA, or formerly from NASA, who worked on the Hubble telescope project and who is now devoting himself to arguing with random strangers on Facebook over Global Warming. I accused him of being a troll (he has nothing on his home page but the climate groups) and I believe he is one; I suspect someone is paying this guy to make an "authoritative" case, yet he uses many of the same shibboleths that the Gang Green always uses (like "the science is settled") There are others too and I am pretty sure there is a lot of money floating around right now for people with a science background to defend the climate kookery.

They always accuse us of being backed by big oil and deny they are much better funded by government, by NGO's, and by wealthy billionaires like this guy. But the fact remains they have vast sums of wealth at their disposal and our side does not. We just have a few honest scientists, mostly older ones who no longer worry about their careers.

Climate alarmism has always been a medicine show, a con, a Harold Hill type exercise "we got trouble - right here, with a capital T and it rhymes with C and that stands for climate". It's always "act now before it's too late" the classic sign of an advertising campaign and not a scientific inquiry.

I knew when they announced the creation of the IPCC that would be nothing but a con job, a long con. The U.N. wants to be a world government, and it wants to rid the world of free markets. OF COURSE they were going to find that our emissions are going to kill us! They are Harold Hill here.

And when they fleece us of all our money like Hill does to the townsfolk in Music Man they will "skip town" metaphorically; the issue will be discussed less and less and eventually trickle off. But only after they get what they want which is quite ambitious. They want the world (I picture in my mind Dr. Evil from Austin Powers bouncing the giant rubber globe on his son's head as in the second movie.)

This has been the planned route to power all along. They first tried Global Cooling but that petered out as the planet began a warming trend, so they switched to Warming without missing a beat (and it was the same people promoting both.) Now they have way too much invested in Global Warming and they are praying (to themselves I imagine, or to Gaia) that the planet warms for another thirty years so they can trick the public. If it cools they are going to have a hard time explaining that. Warming stopped during the last few decades as the sun has been quiet, but it's becoming more active and now it might warm a bit more and they will say "see!" and begin pushing this again.

There is every reason to believe most if not all of the warming we see (a very modest warming) is natural variability. Yes, humans do impact climate, with land use changes, for instance. And the decline in cloud cover explains much of the current warming as well. But it's a warming that really does not require explaining. One friggin degree! And we do not even know if we have that right as they keep eliminating temperature stations (and those suck anyway, see www.surfacestations.org) and just averaging them. Satellites are better but still only see the same places at the same time every day. We have no "planetary temperature" except estimated (even the satellites are dependent on models) and that is subject to the fudge factor and if not is still subjective.

At any rate powerful forces want this, very powerful, very wealthy, very internationalist forces. We are up against the full might of governments and silicon valley and NGO's and even oil companies (yes, they donate to environmentalists over climate change). This is truly a David and Goliath battle.

I'm glad somebody is outing this creep.

Death by Affluenza

Timothy Birdnow

I was thinking about the rising tide of Marxism around the world and it's a strange thing; we live in an era of prosperity undreamed of by our ancestors. We live in a material paradise, with fabulous wealth. We just throw things away when we get tired of them, not when they get worn out. We have iPhones and are simply dazzled by instant communication and the internet at our fingertips, with the average phone having more computing power than the one that ran the Moon landing in 1969. Everyone has air conditioning. Most families have two, three cars. Most have three television sets or more. We live healthy, long lives, far longer and healthier than our great grandparents. Our televisions have hundreds of channels, not the three we had when I was a kid, and they come in crystal clear, not all fuzzy and wavy. We have gourmet instant food; frozen or pre-mixed and all you have to do is pop it in the microwave for a few minutes. No more laborious hand cooking over a fire as in the old days! Kids no longer have cavities, and when their teeth come in crooked they don't need those old giant retainers that came out of their mouths and went around their heads. Everything is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

We've cured diseases at an astonishing rate; no more diphtheria, or cholera, or smallpox.

People bathe daily and wash their clothes most days so they never have to wear dirty underwear or whatnot.

We are rarely cold, rarely hot, rarely sick, rarely stranded. Our lives are better now than kings of just a century ago.

And yet so many of us are bitching. Communism and socialism is on the rise, despite the fact we waged a war on Communism for over fifty years. Yet people - especially young people - are more discontent than ever, especially at the capitalist system.

It was the capitalist system that gave us this material paradise we now have.

This enormous cornucopia of wealth was born from the free market, from people starting companies, inventing new and better products, from people coming up with better systems to produce stuff, and ultimately from better service.

Take Amazon. It started life as an online bookseller; Jeff Bezos had some books he wanted to be rid of so he sold them online, and realized there was a real market for online sales. By working out a system that gave excellent customer service and fast delivery Bezos was able to create a world-girdling empire, and pretty much put Sears Roebuck out of business.

That has been repeated over and over in the last century, and our technology keeps getting better and better.

Yet here we have these ungrateful snots going online to complain about free enterprise on the smartphones they purchased with the money they did not earn by not working.

It's an amazing spectacle to watch.

Go to any Antifa protest and you see these young fools dressed in brand new clothes as they protest the very system that made it possible for them to have brand new protest clothes. If they lived in the old Soviet Union they would have been wearing rags - and that is assuming they would be protesting at all. More likely they would disappear and never be heard from again.

So we have this amazing situation where ungrateful people think they have it so bad when in fact they are living better than Caesar.

But they aren't living like gods, which is why they are angry. They look around and see the uber-rich with private jets and mansions (as opposed to their own 3000 square foot home) and are consumed by jealousy, coveting what their neighbor possesses. Well, it's not so easy to be a billionaire; you work all the time, you have people trying to slice your throat, you have women marry you for your money then tear your heart out, etc. It is a gladiator's arena. One of the few good things about it is you have money to own things and do things. But few people are willing to earn it that way. They want it given to them.

And they don't want to work. I remember when I was a teenager I didn't want to work either (and I had some pretty bad jobs) but I most definitely DID want the money I made. Kids these days want to skip the work and just take the earnings. They have been so entitled that they think it is owed them just for their existing. They figure their parents brought them into this world and so owe them.

It's a very curious role reversal; instead of being grateful their parents had enough love to conceive them and birth them and raise them and love them they figure their parents did it solely out for self-fulfillment and so the parents owe them big time. That's why they won't move out of their parent's homes; why should they?

And it is why they are all on-board with Marxism and Socialism. They want to live without being productive. They think the world owes them. And they are used to being given participation trophies and not being forced to actually face the real world.

I remember back in the eighties when the big "self esteem" juggernaut began rolling. We were told the problems in society stemmed from too much low self-esteem. Well, kids SHOULD lack self-esteem, or more precisely arrogance, because by and large they have nothing to contribute. They are in the learning phase of their lives and they have nothing to add to any conversation. Their thoughts are meaningless. We encourage them to speak them but that is to teach them to express their thoughts and to organize them and to learn to THINK. But until someone gets a bit of experience under their belts their thoughts are pretty worthless.

Not always of course; the inventor of the television was a 13 year old boy who entered his idea in a science fair. Philo Farnsworth was a kid from Washington State, and his teachers didn't know what he was talking about but one of them thought it might be important so he got some professors from the University of Washington to come and they were stunned - it could work. It did.

But that was rare; most times young skulls are full of mush, as Rush Limbaugh used to say.

But we began inflating their egos until they are now as tall as skyscrapers, and while they live better than kings and emperors they are still unhappy.

Part of that is the fact that their parents have been seduced by all the wealth, by the success, by the amazing things in our society. Wealth and success often breeds dissatisfaction, and God Himself told warned the Israelites they were coming into a very dangerous situation as they were entering the Holy Land because they were soon going to have easy, wealthy, successful lives and in the process would forget Him and become dissatisfied. It's why there was not one but TWO Commandments against coveting; human beings covet that which they do not have but others possess. Our young people, boated with false self-confidence, covet that which they have not earned and do not possess (and in the end may well not want).

I remember some years ago the phrase "affluenza" was coined. It was about the entitled rich kids, but it fits most young people these days, and many not so you. Our whole society suffers from affluenza and it only gets worse the more wealth and technology we create. As things get better and better so many of our people become more and more disaffected.

Why? Ultimately because we have become grown children, playing with toys, while eschewing the permanent things, the eternal things. We no longer believe in God and most especially we no longer believe in a God who will eventually impose justice. We believe in a sappy happy God who would never harm a fly even if the fly was biting Him, and who is all giving. But if that were true why is life so hard in so many ways? Why is there death, grief, loss, heartbreak, disappointment, etc.? No, God has two aspects and one is the Great Judge. And life is about more than pleasure and enjoyment.

An of course many don't believe in God at all and think we just spontaneously generated out of nothing. As a result the philosophy is the same as the Satanists have long advocated "Harm no one, thy will be done". But of course you WILL harm people if your will is the whole of the law; it is unavoidable. We do not live in a vacuum. A man on a deserted island might be able to live as his will demands but in a society that leads to strife and hatred and struggle.

But that is exactly what we started doing in the past with the Me Generation and the rise of anti-natural law ideas like feminism or the sexual revolution. We are in the post-revolution period now and the damage to society, to family, to children, to our system of things like our social clubs or schools or whatnot, has been done. The young in particular feel alienated - something all youths feel at some point (teen angst) but it is far worse for them now as they no longer have the bedrock under their feet. They've been told they have to figure it all out on their own. Then along comes some radical teacher, or a Facebook page, or something else, that offers a false religion to them. They snatch it up, as a drowning man snatches a life preserver.

So now the most evil idea ever conceived is rising again and everyone is puzzled by this. It was inevitable. We've been driving the wrong way down the interstate; eventually we were going to crash.

The only way we can alter this trajectory, to avoid making the mistake Russia made, is to restore Christianity and our national roots. People have to stop substituting physical wealth for proper social upbringing, for love. If a woman can stay home with her kids she should do so and the family should do without the toys. The family is, after all, the primary building block of society and a strong family won't see their kids succumb to the temptation of a free and easy existence and punishing those who produce the wealth. If that means denying kids the smartphones or the other gadgetry so be it; the kids are better off reading a book or playing outside anyway.

We have made a false god out of our wealth, just as the Israelites did. God sent the Israelites in exile twice, and He owed them a debt based on His promise. He has made no similar promise to us. When our time comes we may just disappear, as did Esau's children, the Edomites.

Charlie Kirk knew how to reach the young, and he was very effective at it, which is why the leftists murdered him. He was showing us the way home.

We need to listen.

Brazilian Judge Orders Polls be Kept Open

Timothy Birdnow

Lula and his pet judges are doing what the Democrats have long sought to do, only in Brazil to keep the revolution alive.

Lula's former personal attorney turned judge ordered polling places kept open two hours later - AFTER ones in conservative areas closed and it was too late to reopen them.

Typical leftist scheme; steal what they cannot persuade. And it worked.

Watch for leftist Democrat judges to do this in the upcoming election.

The Church Cowers While Babies Burn

Timothy Birdnow

At his website our old friend Selwyn Duke discusses the failure of so many to take a moral stand in politics.

I left the following coment:

Selwyn, here in Missouri there is Amendment IIII on the ballot which a. bans transgendering children and b. restores the ban on abortion which was overturned in a low-attended off-year election by a referendum.

There has been shock-and-awe campaigning against 3; every commercial break on almost every station is a commercial against it and often twice in one break.

So what is the Archdiocese doing about it? Well, from what I've seen nothing at all. I passed Mary Magdalen church the other day and there was one sad little sign saying "vote yes prop 3" and that appears to be the long and short of it. Someone with vast resources is waging the war here and nobody - especially the Catholic Church - is countering it. It probably won't pass.

There is a huge amount of money going into it.

And all the Church can muster is one sad sign. I've not even seen them anywhere else.

The same holds true on other issues too. For instance, most commercial breaks feature an ad telling people to vote against the state redistricting plan, calling it "out of Washington" even though the state legislature is overwhelmingly Republican and the only seat the Democrats will lose is Emmanuel Cleaver's, which exists only because of the old rules that said you had to have minority-majority districts. But there is money flowing into that too, and a lot of it. Nothing hitting the airwaves answering it.

The point is that the Church is not bothering with this. Oh, they are gung-ho on supporting illegal aliens, in recruiting them and moving them around the country. But they are largely silent on Prop. 3, which is something they should dump vast resources into. Why, it's almost as if they can live with the mass murder of children.

Some Judicial Sanity for a Change

Timothy Birdnow

A nice win over immigration.

These are ILLEGAL aliens and do not have the same rights and privileges enjoyed by American citizens. No bond hearings are necessary.

"Illegal immigrants do not gain constitutional protections against indefinite detention without a bond hearing until they have been legally admitted, even if they have been in the United States for a period of time, a majority of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit judges said in the ruling."

That is a sound and proper decision by the court, a breath of fresh air these days.

"State approved content"? That is probably already happening, but this is intended to squeeze out any alternative views whatsoever. Sieg Heil!

A Hero

Timothy Birdnow

Here is a great and inspiring story for this Sunday afternoon.

Now THIS is a man! He needs to get a Medal of Honor (I assume the Coast Guard gets those too).

Josh Law, a 24 year old Coast Guard rescue swimmer, had to save a bunch of people who were in peril of immanent death off the coast of Ensenada in Mexico. Over two dozen people were tossed into the ocean a hundred and forty miles out at sea, and the waves were fierce, making survival chances slim.
The water was very cold.

The 16 survivors he rescued (all were Mexicans) had injuries including shark bites. Law stayed with them after rescuing them and treated their wounds.

This needs to be made into a movie. Law is the very definition of a hero.
